The Pasadena City Hall is one block off Colorado Blvd. The early Renaissance style building was completed in December 1927 and has 235 rooms. The highest point of the dome is 206 feet above ground. This magnificent city hall is the centerpiece of the civic center district.

xIt's well worth taking the little side trip to see this wonderful building. From the west you walk under the dome to the courtyard.

xEntering the building from the east you pass through the expansive loggia. The "lantern" at the top of the dome is, or at least was, a observation platform from which one could look out at the surrounding city. Just beyond the loggia an impressive cast stone fountain takes center stage in the large courtyard. The courtyard is open to the public.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
