The old Oro Grande Garage and Mohawk Gas Station and Mini Mart date back at least to 1949 although the garage buildings appear older than that. The mini Mart bilding is adorned with signs for Cold Beer, Groceries, Cold Pop, Food, and Wine.

The Mohawk name was still in place when I took this photo but the Mohawk name is still there. In the USA Mohawk gas was sold from 1932-1975 when it became Reserve Gas & Oil. With posted prices of $1.00 to $1.99 the mid-1970s is a very possible time frame for the station to have closed.

The garage building carries a sign that identifies it as the Oro Grande Garage which offered 24 HR Towing
