The Stardust Motel originally featured the "Googie" style of architecture well known in the 1950s. It had a beautiful neon sign that was replaced twice, the second time by a backlit plastic sign. The tiled parapet has been built on top of the original folded plate roof still visible at the bottom edge over the lobby carport.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
