The now closed Colonial Motel on E. Foothills Boulevard in Azusa apparently opened in the late 1950s. It apparently operated as the Colonial Motel until 1988 and sometime after that became known as the Colonial Inn. It apparently closed in 2018 or soon after.

xThe main house was built in 1918 and has been designated as a historic property by the city.

xThe 28 unit motel is made up of the large single family home/office, a 10 unit two story building next to Foothill, 5 duplex units and two 4 plex units at the back of the property. There is also a swimming pool.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
