Joseph Joe's Big Indian Trading Post featured Indian jewelry, moccasins, and western curious among many other things aimed at getting more tourists to part with a few more dollars. The sign as seen here has been altered, originallythe Indian's right ar was stretched out and resting on a long sign that ran along the ridge of the roof and read "Joseph Joe's Big Indian Western Gifts Retail & Wholesale"

When this photo was taken Sweetland Furniture Mfg. Company was using the buildings. The sign has been taken down since this photo was snapped.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
