Here's another photo of the RoadkIll Cafe, it is just across the street
from

is a 1860s log cabin style pioneer jail on display on the west side
of the cafe. I think this is the only pioneer jail built of logs that
I've seen on the Mother Road. I wouldn't call these comfy accommodations,
I doubt that the scofflaws that got free lodging here did either.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
