Oatman - Topock Hwy., Old Trails, AZ
Phone:

East < GO > West

As far as I can tell, coming from Oatman this is about the first old commercial building at Old Trails. It appears to be an old garage just north of the fire station. A few buildings nearby are about all that remains of Old Trails. The community was named for the "Old Trails Road, now the Oatman Topock Highway.

x Just a bit past the old garage you come to the Oatman Fire Station, when we went by in the spring of 2013 this Wells Fargo Overland Stage was parked out front. Unfortunately in 2015 we couldn't find it.

x Next is this business where the sign on the front of the building says Antiques, Tools, Curios, Relics, Glass. The sign in the window said closed, so I don't know it's a going business or not. A rusted out relic of an old car bears the Old Trails name. That and the few buildings nearby are about all that remains of Old Trails.

x You have be looking to find the old car hidden behind the boulders or you'll zip right past it and through Old Trails before you know it.

There used to be a gas station across the road from the rusted out old car as evidenced by a single gravity fed visible gas pump standing on the old pump island. Hopefully it's still there.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
