The old trails Garage has been standing here since 1915. Originally there were two more garage doors, one about where each window is in this photo.

The restaurant next-door used to be part of the Old Trails Garage, it was the showroom for their car dealership. But that wasn't it's first use, it was built using reinforced concrete in 1912 to house an Arizona Stores business..

xThe 1930s-era Packard sign was restored by the Graves family which owns the Garage. In 2016 the sign was recovered from the garage where it had been stored for more than 60 years. It was refurbished by Legacy Signs.

NOTE: This mid-50s street view postcard shows the Old Trails Garage with a large Chevrolet - Buick sign on the west side of the Brunswick Hotel. The dealership still had all three garage doors in this image.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
