The late 50s Holbrook Motel opened with 62 rooms that had ceramic tile showers, wall to wall carpeting, air conditioning and wall mounted heaters. Later it became the Western Holiday Motel and still later the America's Best Value Inn. At some point the canopy over the lobby entrance was added.

x At one time there was a swimming pool behind the cafe on the corner, but it has since been filled in and paved over.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
