This old bridge on the 1926 - 1939 alignment of Route 66 is a short distance
east of Crozier. Coming from the east you're coming down the hill from
Truxton and can easily zip right past this spot. There is room to pull
off the road on the east end of the guard rails on the newer elevated
road.. The road was realigned and elevated after a big flood in the late
1930s. The old road went through the 7V Ranch, but is on gated private
property now. The old bridge is easily visible from Route 66.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
