The Kozy Corner Trailer Park in Anteras started out in the 1960s as the Lake Mead Rancheros: Restaurant, Bar, Motel. There also was a Shell gas station located in front of the building. Somewhere along the line a small trailer court was added and the name changed to Kozy Corner Trailer Court. Today it features the 14 foot tall "Giganticus Headicus" created by Gregg Arnold. This was more or less a gift shop gallery when we visited in 2017. Over the years there was also a Kozy-mart convenience store and a Laundr-O-Mat here. As late as 2011 there was still a "public laundry" sign out front.

It is at the intersection of Antares Road and Route 66.

x The Giganticus Headicus is a rather imposing figure!

x The Giganticus Headicus isn't the only artwork here, there are several pretty cool pieces of art in the yard next to the main building.

xThe Yellow sign can at the top used to say RANCHERO and the white sign can below it said MOTEL.

x The small Ranchero Motel is next door, probably a long term place.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
