The Nut House

26677 S. Hwy 66, Claremore (Verdigris), OK

The Nut House has been open for over 40 years, it started by selling only native peacans. Besides selling peacans and other nuts, it features homemade fudge, jams & jellies and other good stuff. It is housed in a log cabin built with pecan wood, which was originally constructed to house the pecan cracking operation. We re very fond of this place and look forward to stocking up on nuts and jams when we vist.

The mailing address in Claremore here is a little misleading. The business is actually in Verdigris, on top of that it is much closer to Catoosa than Claremore.

It's easy to miss this sign and business, so look for the RVs parked out front.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
