This museum is loaded with interesting historical objects far too many to list. It occupies an entire city block, so there's plenty to see. It came to be after J. M. Davis decided to find a permanent home for his world famous collection of guns and more. In 1965 he transferred it to a foundation which together with the state constructed the museum to display the collection to the public. The museum has over 20,000 firearms and other historical artifacts.

Yet another Will Rogers Highway marker stands near the driveway entrance to the museum in honor of Will Roger's life and ledgend, this one placed in 2001.
