The nationally Famous Chicken Basket has been here, next to its first location, since the 1946. Starting in 1930 the lunch counter was part of an automotive service garage before building this much bigger facility. Dell Rhea took over in 1963 and changed the name to Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket. It is a member of the Route 66 Hall of Fame since 1992 and on the "The National Register of Historic Places" since 2006.

A very cool neon sign stands in front of the restaurant. Prior to 1946 it was known as Club Roundup, the Triangle Inn and the Craftwood Inn, The sign was rehabbed in 2017.
