This monument to the veterans of the Civil & Spanish/American wars is the work of Casper Bubert. The monument was dedicated as part of Virden's 50th Anniversary in 1902.

xThis Veteran's Memorial is sponsored by the Virden American Legion, Post 386 and was erected in 1986. This memorial honors veterans of WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq/Afghanistan.
