Old 66 landing, Turn L, becomes Lakeshore Dr. turn L @ Olde Carriage Way, follow to 1st private dr (#2849) on left, just at the east edge of Cotton Hill Park. The original 66 went from this point to the waters edge. Roadway is barely visible on west side of 2849 driveway.(may be private property.)

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
