The twelve room Apple Valley Motel had extensive damge in a two-alarm fire in June 2016. Eight of the rooms were damaged,so the place may be totaled. The motel was apparently built in the late 1940's or early 1950's. The motel was rehabbed and reopened after an earlier fire years ago. This is the second motel to occupy this site, the first one was also destroyed by fire. We went by here in May 2018 and all that was left standing was the sign, the building had been torn down.
