This is another of the large photo-op Route 66 Shields installed in advance of the Mother Road's Centennial in 2026. The shield was installed in September of 2022. It's located at the intersection of Old Rt. 66 and Weir St., one block north of the Ariston Cafe (& Hwy. 16) in Litchfield

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
