Latham Park dates back to 1853 when the plan for town was first layed.
The centerpiece of the park is the 1917 Bandstand.
The band Stand was originally built at a cost of $1,500. In the mid-1980s
it was restored by a Veterans group at a cost of about $10,000.00. They
were able to use the original roof tiles in the restoration.
