1890s Railroad Depot

Today the Richardson Romanesque style 1890s Chicago & Alton Railroad depot contains the Dwight Historical Society Museum and Chamber of Commerce. It also serves as the local Amtrak station. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The town name appears on the dormer facing W. Main St.

The 1890s freight office stands just south of the station

A Wayside Exhibit stands near the sidewalk south of the freight office.

On the north side of the depot there is a small Veterans Memorial Monument.
