This former Lincoln-Mercury dealership streamline modern style building was a Cassidy Tire Store when we went by in 2016. There were a number of new car dealers along Route 66 in Berwyn, most have closed or moved to other locations. Cassidy has been selling and repairing tires in greater Chicagoland since 1912. Not always at this location, but that's still quite a history. I'm not sure it is still a Cassidy store though.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
