The military museum open in 2004 to honor those who served in the military from WW1 to Iraq and Afghanistan. Among their collection of military artifacts is a 1953 Jeep from the Korean War and a camera used to shoot photos from a B-17 Bomber. I'm not sure which war that bomber flew in, but apparently a photographer would lean out an open door on the plane and point the camera at whatever he was trying to take a photo of.

xThe Inland Empire Military Museum is sponsored by Juan Pollo who donated the use of the building and is located right next door to the "Original McDonald's Site" Museum. Mario Montecino, a Vietnam-era veteran was instrumental in getting the museum established. He is the curator of the museum and the museum includes much of his personal collection of military memorabilia. E street here is the original Route 66 in San Bernardino and later possibly "City 66".

Like many small museum, this one is run by volunteers so I think the hours are pretty limited, to weekend days and special events.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
