The neon artwork over the lobby window is really neat. There's a long
tradition of neon signs along the Mother Road and it's always nice to
see cool examples. 
This
is a portion of a mural representing all eight Route 66 states. The
mural is on the front retaining wall of the motel.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
