The City of Barstow mural is located at 113 E. Main. The Main Street Murals project started in 1997 as a nonprofit organization to help beautify the downtown area. It was established by the city to create a walking gallery of history along Route 66's last existing Main Street. x The Mormon Trail mural is located at 201 N. 1st St.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
