Petrified Forest National Park: West6618 Petrified Forest Rd, Petrified Forest National Park, AZPhone:
The concrete supports under the petrified Agate Bridge were installed in 1917 as a way to preserve the span. One of the more interesting spots in the Petrified Forest is the Puerco Pueblo site. The remains of walls that are many hundreds of years old stand as a vestment to the people who lived here long ago. This was a 100 room pueblo at one time, it is truly a wonder to see. The Rainbow Forest Museum and park visitor center and gift shop near the west entrance to the Petrified Forest National Park and Painted Desert is accessed from US 180 southeast of Holbrook, AZ.
