Sunflower Station Gift Shop is wonderful place featuring all kinds of cool Route 66 themed items and more. If you are on I-40, get off at exit 22 going east or exit 23 going west. The Sunflower Station is on the old road on the north side of I-40 right across from the "Midpoint of Route 66" sign.

x Out in front is this older Ford truck that has been busy collecting hundreds, maybe thousands of names of happy visitors from around the world.

Fran Hauser owned and operated the Midpoint Cafe next door for many years, after she sold it she opened the Sunflower Station. She owned the cafe when the movie "Cars" came out and was the inspiration for "Flo" in movie. As of 2021 Fran has retired and the Sunflower Station has new owners.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
