The McKisick Jewelers was started in 1939, but not at this location. It is still being run by family. The oldest reference to this address I've found is for a cafe in 1921.

x The very cool sign on the front of the building states that they have been in business since 1939.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
