Admiral Joe "Jocko" Clark Monument,

Admiral Joe "Jocko" Clark was born on Pryor Creek, Indian Territory and grew up near Chelsea. He attended college in Vinita and Stillwater, OK. When he graduated in 1917 he was the first Native American to graduate from the United States Naval Academy. When he retired in 1952 he was a Four Star-Admiral. "Jocko" was a nickname he picked up in the Naval Academy that stuck with him the rest of his life.

The plaque on the marker reads:

The Trailway runs along Route 66 between Bushyhead in Rogers County and White Oak in Craig Counties.
