The Butterfly Effect: - Dreams Take Flight mural is painted on the side of the what was the Dixie Printing building on the northwest corner of 15 and south Main Street. It was dedicated on Sept. 25, 2011, less than a month after devastating tornado had ripped through Joplin. Planning for the mural was done before the storm and it's completion became a symbol of the communities recovery. Under lead muralist Dave Loewenstein's guidance over 300 community volunteers had a hand in the design and painting of the mural.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
