One of the frequent questions from Route 66 travelers is where to find a laundromat. The Guest House Motel in Carthage advertises a "Public Laundry" on their sign. Many motels along the way have coin operated laundry facilities for their guests.

The motel is located on Route 66 (Central Ave.) and Lincoln Street. Except got a new sign, in 2016 the motel looked pretty much like it did in an early 1960s postcard.
